Shipping Information (and other information)

WE SHIP TO: (Refer to Fedex Map above.)

  1. Currently we ONLY ship to the pink and blue areas of the Fedex Map.  Please refer to the Map above to see if you are shipping to an address in those areas.)
  2. We plan to ship to other areas very soon.

  1. Frozen products: To avoid the risk of your frozen tamales being on a shipping truck over the weekend, we ship tamales on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays ONLY.

  1. Frozen products will be shipped in Styrofoam ice chests (with frozen gel-packs and/or dry ice and padding as necessary to keep your tamales at a safe temperature).

  1. Your tamales will be very cold or may still be frozen.
  2. Place them in the refrigerator if you will use them within 3 days.
  3. Place them in the freezer for longer storage.

(No need to thaw tamales before heating.)

  1. Heating Option 1: Place the sealed FROZEN bag of tamales in a pot of boiling water.  Cover and boil on medium-low heat for about 45 minutes.  Cut the bag open and serve.  They will be perfectly hot without drying out or getting mushy.  Be careful!  There will be a lot of extremely hot steam.
  2. Heating Option 2:  If you will only heat a few at a time, take out as many frozen tamales as you need and steam them in a steam pot for approximately 30 minutes.
  3. Heating Option 3:  Heat the amount you need in the microwave.  Drape a very wet paper towel over the tamales to keep them from drying out.  Start by heating them one minute at a time.  Check that they don't over-heat and dry up.
  4. Heating Option 4:  Wrap tamales completely in foil and heat in the oven at 350 degrees 50-70 minutes.  Place a pan of hot water in the oven to help keep them moist.   Use a thermometer to check the inner temperature.  When they reach 160 degrees, they're ready!
  5. Heating Option 5: For this option, tamales should be refrigerated, not frozen.  Place refrigerated tamales on the grill (with or without the corn husks) and heat as you would any other grilled food.  Use a screen sprayed with oil to keep the tamales from falling between the grates.  They don't take long to heat so watch them closely.
